Bulls' 2008 finds three ESPN games (WGR 550) -- The Mid-American Conference has released its 2008 football schedule, and the UB Bulls figure prominently in the conference's national exposure plan. Turner Gill and company have three games on the ESPN network, including one at UB Stadium on ESPN2 when the Miami Redhawks visit Amherst on Nov. 4. That game is bordered on the schedule by two ESPNU contests, Oct. 28 at Ohio and Nov.
UB Football to play UConn, UCF The UB football team has signed a four-year agreement with Connecticut of the Big East to play the Huskies in a home-and-home series beginning in 2010 as well as a two-game series with the University of Central Florida (UCF) of Conference USA.
The Bulls will begin the UConn series with a game in Connecticut on Sept. 25, 2010. The teams will play again in the Nutmeg State in 2012...
Gill Gets Extension University at Buffalo head football coach Turner Gill has gotten a contract extension that will keep him with the school through the 2012 season.
Gill was named the Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year after the school's best season in Division 1-A history. He signed a five year contract in December of 2005.
Turner Gill Addresses Nebraska & '07 Season Turner Gill addressed the media Tuesday at UB Stadium to put a wrap on the 2007 season, the best in the school's Division I history. After winning MAC Coach of the Year honors, Gill was in the national spotlight over the past weeks in regards to his candidancy to possibly replace Bill Callahan at Nebraska. The Huskers announced Sunday that LSU defensive coordinator Bo Pelini will be the next coach, leaving Gill at UB for now.
