Trent Edwards weighing options on injured shoulder
WGR - Sports Radio 550 has learned that Trent Edwards has an injured right shoulder and is seeking opinion on how to treat the damage.  It is not known what the actual extent of the injury is but two league sources have told WGR that the injury does not seem serious.  The Bills did not return our calls seeking more information.

Ravens' D too Tough; Beat Dolphins 27-9
he Baltimore Ravens’ defense was just too much for the Miami Dolphins, as the Ravens beat the Dolphins 27-9, and eliminated them from the NFL playoffs.

It was a 3-3 tie going into halftime, until Ed Reed picked off picked off Chad Pennington, and returned it for a 64-yard touchdown to give the Ravens the 10-3 lead.  Matt Stover would also kick a 31-yard field goal to go into halftime
Report: Ko Simpson Arrested
The Rock Hill Herald in South Carolina is reporting that Bills safety Ko Simpson was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with hindering a police investigation.

According to the story, Simpson  was a passenger in a car that had been stopped for speeding through a parking lot by police investigating a possible assault at a bar.
Mair Suffers Knee Injury
Sabre forward Adam Mair suffered a knee injury in Tuesday's loss to the Capitals. Mair missed practice Wednesday and is doubtful to suit up for Buffalo's January 1st game in Toronto, according to Coach Lindy Ruff. It's the same knee that Mair had surgery on previously. He will be re-evaluated after the Toronto trip.
 
Tim Connolly practiced, but is still not ready for contract drills.

News Report: Jauron Will Stay
Buffalo News writer Mark Gaughan reports that the Bills will keep Dick Jauron as their Head Coach. Owner Ralph Wilson told the news that Jauron does have a contract extension. There were various reports that Jauron was given a 3-year contract extension when the team was 5-and-1.

The News report states that Jauron flew to Detroit today to meet with Wilson.

News Report: Jauron Decision Coming Wednesday
Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News reports that Bills' owner Ralph Wilson will make a desision on the future of Head Coach Dick Jauron on Wednesday. Gaughan reports that Wilson met on Monday with Chief Operating Officer Russ Brandon, Vice President of College Scouting Tom Modrak and Treasurer Jeff Littmann in Detroit.

Bills clean out their lockers
The Bills said good-bye to the 2008 season with some old friends showing up. Angelo Crowell made an appearance as did Aaron Schobel.

Crowell elected to have his knee scoped the week of the season opener against Seattle. He was hoping to be out four to six weeks, but unexpectedly found himself on season ending IR.

Sabres practice was packed Monday morning.  With the New Year in sight, Buffalo is finally getting healthy.
 
Craig Rivet was one of the eight defensemen skating with the team Monday.  The captain is finally getting over a shoulder injury that kept him out for a month.  He’s expected to return to the lineup Tuesday.
 
Likely joining Rivet will be Paul Gaustad.
Playoffs set
Rest assured at least two people ate chunky soup, as the Chargers and Eagles cemented unlikely playoff runs with massive Week Seventeen victories.
