Remembering Buffalo News Sports Writer Allen Wilson

Buffalo News sports writer Allen Wilson died Saturday at the age of 49 after a battle with leukemia.  Wilson worked at the News for 20 years and has been a fixture covering the Buffalo Bills since 1999.  He is remembered for his warm and welcoming personality and his willingness to help in addition to his excellence as a journalist.  Wilson received many accolades over the course of his career including the New York State Associated Press award for distinguished sports reporting in 2007.

Many of us here at WGR have worked with Allen and will remember him fondly.  Click below to listen to Jeremy White, Howard Simon and Joe Buscaglia share their thoughts about Allen Wilson.
