Amherst, NY (WGR 550) -- The UB football team has signed a four-year agreement with Connecticut of the Big East to play the Huskies in a home-and-home series beginning in 2010 as well as a two-game series with the University of Central Florida (UCF) of Conference USA.
The Bulls will begin the UConn series with a game in Connecticut on Sept. 25, 2010. The teams will play again in the Nutmeg State in 2012, while the Huskies will come to Buffalo for games in 2011 and 2013. The Bulls will open their series against UCF on Sept. 26, 2009 in Orlando, while the Golden Knights will return the game at UB Stadium on Sept. 18, 2010.
While WGR 550 had reported the news about a month ago, the team now officially released its 2008 non-conference football schedule. The Bulls will open the season by hosting UTEP on Thursday night, August 28, at UB Stadium. Buffalo begins their series with Pitt when they travel to Heinz Field in Pittsburgh on September 6, 2008. The Bulls will host the Army Black Knights for the first time in school history on October 18, 2008.
Buffalo's Mid-American Conference schedule will be released at a later date.
