Sabre forward Derek Roy expects to be in the line-up tomorrow night when the team takes on the Senators in Ottawa.
Roy suffered a charlie horse in Tuesday's loss to the Sens. He skated on his own Wednesday and felt good.
"I skated on it today and it feels better. Hopefully I be ready for tomorrow....I'm positive I'll be ready for tomorrow. It wasn't a severe charlie horse but you have to play through the pain. You just want to get out there and contribute to the team."
The Sabres have six games left including tomorrow night's tilt in Ottawa. They are 5 points behind the Bruins for the 8th and final playoff spot in the East.
Head Coach Lindy Ruff says that history has proven they're not out of it.
"Long term is, it can be done. The Islanders did it in a shootout with their last shot to get into the playoffs last year. For us, if we take care of business, we have Boston twice. If we take care of that without looking ahead, it's still possible."
Thursday night's game is a 7:30 start. |
