(WGR 550) -- From the podium to the practice field in precious few days, the Buffalo Bills' rookies are getting a taste of life in the NFL at One Bills Drive this weekend.
Friday commenced the camp, and the Bills officially announced the addition of nine undrafted free agents:
CB- John Banks of Iowa State
LB- Joe Brockington of Notre Dame
LB- Marcus Buggs of Vanderbilt QB- Luke Drone of Illinois State OG- Robert Felton or Arkansas RB- Bruce Hall of Mississippi. WR- Jason Jones of Arkansas- Pine Bluff, DT- Teraz McCray of Miami FB- Michael Viti of Army
Bills' Coach Dick Jauron was not always crazy about the idea of a Rookies-only camp, but has come around on the idea.
"Just to get started again in a nice feeling. Hopefully (the rookies) appreciate how much attention they're getting. There's probably no way they can because they have nothing to compare it to, except college. To have this setup, it's really good. They get a lot of coaching."
Fans will like the mindset of Buffalo's second round pick, WR James Hardy. When asked about his first taste of the NFL, Hardy was already setting the bar high.
"It was a great feeling. It was new for me. Something that I haven't been able to do yet but, now that I'm in the NFL, I just want to go out here and do the best that I can to help this team get to a playoff game."
