Amherst, NY (WGR 550) -- University at Buffalo head football coach Turner Gill has gotten a contract extension that will keep him with the school through the 2012 season.
Gill was named the Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year after the school's best season in Division 1-A history. He signed a five year contract in December of 2005.
The Bulls were 5 and 3 in the MAC this past season - that included a share of the MAC East Division title with a 4 and 2 record. The five wins overall were the most by the Bulls since moving up to Division 1-A in 1999.
