(WGR 550) -- Martin Biron stopped 31 shots as the Flyers chased Montreal's Carey Price after two periods as Philadelphia earned a 2-1 advantage in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
Scottie Upshall, R.J. Umberger and Mike Richards scored second-period goals as the Flyers built a 3-0 lead after 40 minutes, but a five-minute major for boarding by Derian Hatcher gave the Canadiens new life.
Montreal scored twice in the final frame, with Saku Koivu and Tomas Plekanec notching goals 80 seconds apart, but was unable to gain the equalizer. The two teams face-off at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Game Four.
