College Basketball Challenge Contest Rules

COLLEGE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP RULES
 
These rules apply to the College Basketball Championship Contest conducted by WGR-AM ("Station"), unless otherwise specified. 
 
Who Can Enter
 
1.                  To enter, contestants must be legal residents of the State of New York, who are 18 years of age or older. 
 
2.                  Employees of Station, Entercom Buffalo, LLC (the "Company"), its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, contest sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, any other Buffalo area radio stations and the immediate family members (i.e., spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and siblings) and anyone else residing within the household of each of the above are NOT eligible to enter and/or to win.
 
Entry
 
3.                  No purchase is necessary to enter.
 
4.                  Contestants may only win one prize per person from the Station every 30 days unless specified otherwise. For contests that run beyond 30 days, contestants may only win one prize per contest.
 
5.                  TO ENTER: Listen to WGR550 between March 10th and March 20th on weekdays between the hours of 6am and 7pm (the “Contest Period”). During the Contest Period, Station hosts will select 65 Qualifiers from all callers accepted based on hosts’ evaluation (exercised in their sole and complete discretion) of callers’: articulateness, originality, creativity, listener appeal, knowledge or insight regarding the topic discussed during the call. Each selected Qualifier will: (a) win a Qualifying Prize; and (b) be randomly assigned to one of the 65 seeded teams in the College Basketball Championship (e.g., West #1 seed, East #14 seed, Play-in #1 seed, etc.) for a chance to win the Grand Prize. Grand Prize Winner will be determined by the seed that wins the College Basketball Championship. For example, if the West #1 seed wins the Championship, the Qualifier assigned to that seed will be declared the Grand Prize Winner. An individual may only be selected as a Qualifier once, i.e., 65 different Qualifiers will be selected.
 
6.                  Station Management shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to the contest and in the interpretation of contest rules. The decisions of Station Management shall be final. Entry into the contests constitutes agreement by contestant to abide by these rules, as well as any other rules established by Station.
 
Prizes
 
7.                  Sixty Five (65) Qualifying Prizes will be awarded at during the Contest. Each Qualifying Prize consists of: (a) one pair of tickets to a Buffalo Bandits Game to one of the April Games at HSBC Arena valued at $38.  One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded during the contest and will consist of: (a) coach airfare for two (2) adults from Buffalo, New York to Tampa, Florida dates TBD by the winner. The trip must be booked by 3.31/2009  and (b) standard hotel accommodations for one (1) night at a Tampa area hotel (hotel to be determined, double occupancy room only, no meals or other incidental expenses included) Grand Prize Value is approximately $1,700 and may vary based on the price of airfare. Flights are based on availability and may be subject to additional restrictions or limitations. (Prize does not include additional ground transportation, meals, taxes and/or any other expenses or fees. Grand Prize Winner is responsible for all other costs and expenses associated with utilization of the Grand Prize not specifically set forth herein.)
8.                  Station is not responsible for replacing or reimbursing the Grand Prize Winner or their guest with any form of compensation for flights that are cancelled. Any such cancellation is deemed beyond the control of the Station. This includes, but is not limited to, event cancellations, trip schedule changes, flight cancellations, changes in travel arrangements, travel delays of any form or duration, as well as all acts of nature, war or terrorism. Additionally, Station is not responsible for any work stoppage that may affect the Grand Prize Winner’s ability to use the Grand Prize. Station is likewise not responsible for any expenses incurred by the Grand Prize Winner as a result of any such cancellation.
9.                  Prizes will be released to the winners only. Each winner will be required to present a valid state photo ID and social security number in order to collect their Prize. Each winner will be required to sign a Release relieving Station, Entercom Buffalo, its parents, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents and contest sponsors from any and all liability with respect to their participation in the contest and/or the receipt of the Prize. Any person who refuses to sign the Release and/or provide a social security number will forfeit the Prize.
10.              Qualifying Prizes not claimed within 30 days of being awarded, or in the case of a time sensitive prize, within its period of usability, shall be considered forfeited and will become property of Station. Such prize may be disposed of at the discretion of Station Management. The Grand Prize shall be forfeited if not utilized during the dates of travel set forth above.
11.              Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for all contests and giveaways. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
12.              Winners are responsible for paying all applicable local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prize, as set forth in the contest rules, and will be issued an IRS 1099 form for all prizes won from Station where the aggregate value of all prizes awarded to such winner in a calendar year is $600 or more.
13.              By participating in this contest, each contestant hereby consents to the Entercom Buffalo’s use of following for on-air broadcast and for advertising and promotional purposes without payment of additional consideration: contestant's name; voice; likeness; biographical information; his/her participation in the contest; and the substance of communications between Station and the contestant. 
14.              Station reserves the right to terminate or declare the contest null and void and rescind the Prizes, if in its sole judgment, the rules or integrity of the Contest have been violated or compromised in any way, intentionally or unintentionally by any person whether or not a participant in the contest.
Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous
 
15.              Odds of winning a Qualifying Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received by the Station. Once Qualified, the odds of winning the Grand Prize are 1 in 65.
16.              Complete contest rules are available at the Station studios at 500 Corporate Parkway – Suite 200, Buffalo, NY 14226 during normal business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday or go online at www.wgr550.com.
17.              Station contests are subject to all applicable laws and regulations and are void where prohibited. 
18.              Station reserves the right to change, alter or modify these rules at any time with or without written notice. Material changes to the contest rules will be broadcast on-air, when practical. 
19.              Station reserves the right to end or stop any contest at any time and for any reason.
