Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)- With the offense having trouble even lining up in the right formations on Thursday at Bills OTA, two players had a running battle. Guard Brad Butler and LB Angelo Crowell were constantly going after each other as the morning went on. Butler says it's a friendly competition the two have them have had since they played one year of college ball together at Virginia.
Numerous times new offensive coordinator Turk Schonert had to bring the team back into the huddle because of players lining up in the wrong spots. The offensive focus has been average at best during OTA's as every day there are many false starts and assignment errors. I understand it's only OTA's, but it concerns me when the offense can't even line up and function when it's just shorts and no pads.
J.P Losman and Mike Viti were back in action after missing one day of the optional workouts. In addition to Jason Peters and Aaron Schobel missing today were FB Darian Barnes and center Melvin Fowler. Fowler hasn't been taking part in team activity anyway since he's recovering from surgery.
In other Bills news, individual game tickets for the Monday Night November 17th game against the Cleveland Browns are sold out. Limited availability remains for the home opener versus the Seattle Seahawks on September 7th. The only way to guarantee tickets to all seven home games at Ralph Wilson Stadium is to purchase season tickets.
