Bills Sign Ellis and Omon

Two more 2008 draft picks have come to terms with the Buffalo Bills. Third round pick, DE Chris Ellis and sixth round pick RB Xavier Omon signed today. Ellis' received a 4-year pact. Financial terms of the deals were not given.

Ellis did not want to be a hold out:
"I'm glad we were able to get it done this morning. I headed over a little late but, now that we have that out of the way we can focus on football. I never heard of a 3rd rounder holding out so I didn't want that to happen."

Omon put his signature on his first pro contract as well. He had to go through a lot to get it.:
"It was stressful because I fired my agent and I had to hire a new agent. I was scared that we had to start all over but everything worked out."

Omon came from Division II-A Northwest Missouri State. He knows the pace will be faster at training camp.:
"I don't have a lot of expectations. (I'm just going) to work hard. I know it's the NFL. It's a step up, especially where I came from so I'm just going to come in and work hard and do my best and I think that should be enough."

Players began reporting to St. John Fisher today for training camp. Buffalo still has two picks unsigned; Top pick CB Leodis McKelvin and 2nd rounder WR James Hardy.

WGR550's Brian Koziol will have updates throughout the day. Bills' C.O.O. Russ Brandon will join the Howard Simon show Friday morning at 8 AM to preview training camp.
