Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) -- Mark Steenhuis scored 7 goals in the Bandits’ routing 19-12 victory over the New York Titans to advance Buffalo to the NLL Championship Game.
The Bandits were down 3-1 in the first 11 minutes of the game, but got it together in the second quarter, taking a 9-5 lead before halftime.The Bandits dominated in the second half, only allowing the Titans to get within a 3-goal margin in the third.The Bandits would blow out the Titans in the fourth quarter, scoring six goals including 4 in four minutes.
John Tavares played ageless, tallying 9 assists and a hat trick, while Mark Steenhuis scored 7 goals and added 2 assists in the Bandits’ win.Brett Bucktooth and Kevin Dostie were also effective, each scoring a hat trick.
The Bandits will host the Portland LumberJax in the 2008 Edge NLL Championship Game on Saturday, May 17th at 7:30pm.
